Position Summary/Scope

Product Director/Manager is a leadership role to help drive planning and execution of a Product Module at the strategic direction of the Head of Product. A critical leader to the growth of the company, the Product Director/Manager is responsible for driving end-to-end discovery; roadmap; functional and non-functional requirements elaboration; functional design, delivery, and adoption of the module and its capabilities for the target market. Depending on the stage of the product module, the Product Director/Manager may have Product Owner(s) reporting to him/her. The Product Director/Manager will collaborate with a cross-functional team to define, design, and deliver the capabilities.

This leadership role requires the ideal candidate to have SaaS Application focus combined with solid product and technical acumen to articulate application capabilities at the business operations levels. A successful candidate is comfortable taking a hands-on approach to problem-solving and is able to work collaboratively with Product Management, Engineering, and other cross-functional leaders.

Responsibilities/Success Factors

Specifically, the Product Director/Manager is a lead role and will be expected to:

  • Own & drive planning and execution of module capabilities with consideration for cross-module dependencies across discovery, roadmap planning and execution, and all stages of the product development life cycle.
  • Clearly communicate the “what” and the “why” at multiple levels to multiple audiences.
  • Be experienced with planning and articulating a wide range of solutions built around product capabilities that meet market needs.
  • Leverage past experience to improve prioritization, planning, estimation, and delivery.
  • Work closely with engineering teams, quickly iterating and refining features and products that will redefine an industry.
  • Support go-to-market needs of a growing market.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of product, SaaS, and modern tech stack experience
  • Ability to work with development teams in different time zones
  • Healthcare Payer IT experience preferred
  • Rapid-growth company experience is highly preferred
  • Self-motivated, scrappy, proactive, and able to work well under pressure with competing priorities
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and who can work in a fast-moving and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work remotely and independently
